How to Flash Google Apps

Google's apps are not open source, custom ROMs can't bundle Google's apps—like Gmail, Hangouts, or the Play Store—with their ROMs. That means you'll need to download and flash them separately. Luckily, this is pretty easy to do: just head to this page on RootzWiki to find out which ZIP file you need, download it to your phone, and flash it just like you did the ROM in step three. Gapps Manager is also a great app that'll help you find the right package if you're stuck, and you can download the APK from XDA Developers.

Step 1: Download Gapps

You can download gapps for your device from OpenGapps according to your own need. Once downloaded place the zip file into your device,

Step 2: Boot into Recovery

Now that you have your GApps file, boot into recovery using your recovery combo buttons (Hold Vol Down + Power for 5 seconds).
Once you are in recovery, you should see something like this (within this article we’ll show how things look on TWRP on the left, and ClockworkMod on the right)…

Step 3: Find the file and flash it

Now go ahead and select “Install”

Step 4: Flash it

Once you have selected your GApps file, it’s time to flash the file!

Step 5: Clear cache!

After the install is complete, back out and clear your cache…

After you have cleared the cache, reboot your phone. You should now have successfully installed GApps.
